Job Description
The TPG family of companies employs over 140 full-time employees operating out of a 150,000 sq. ft. of combined office, manufacturing, and warehouse space. With core competencies in engineering, manufacturing, and formulation of specialty products to improve the water quality and aesthetics of both natural and man-made waterbodies. Servicing customers in The United States, Canada, Mexico, and several overseas markets, selling both B2B and B2C. We are looking to add to our existing product development team with a Lead CNC Programmer & Operator well versed in Computer Aided Design. This position will be responsible for creating drawings that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of consumer products and mechanical components. Anticipate clear examples of what level of quality is expected. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a programmer who can grow with us.

Here are some examples of the actual work your day would include.

  • Program, Setup and run VMCs (HAAS 5 axis)
  • 5 axis programming knowledge a bonus but not required
  • Documentation of NC code and tool setups
  • Develop designs for fixturing/workholding
  • Review and analyze specifications
  • Document dimensions, materials and procedures
  • Machining of parts from micro to several inches
  • Demonstrate ability to hold tolerances and repeat set ups
  • Consult technical handbooks and tables
  • Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings, ie Solidworks, Mastercam, Cimatron, etc.
  • Create and store drawings electronically
  • Uses sketches, oral instructions and marked-up drawings to create and edit 3D models and detail drawings of parts and assemblies
  • Coach and train

Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in CNC programing
  • Mastercam software proficiency
  • Proficient math skills in geometry and trigonometry
  • Knowledge of common terms and techniques
  • Familiarity with injection mold building a plus

This position requires manual dexterity for working with small components, ability to complete repetitive motions for long periods of time, bending, continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh 25 - 50 lbs. and managing packages up to 150 lbs as well as standing/stooping for long periods of time.

This position will require extensive use of a computer. This position involves a high degree of interaction with engineers and other departments (Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, etc). Organization, follow up and communication skills are important factors in daily administration of this position.

We need a person that has a positive attitude, and the words "can't" and "impossible" are not a part of your vocabulary. We need someone who is resourceful and ready to get things done.

This is a full-time, 40+ hour per week position working between the hours of 6am and 6pm Monday – Friday with opportunity for overtime during peak times.

This is a full-time hourly position starting at $28-$35 per hour with benefits. Benefits include:
